That’s what your Home page, sometimes known as your “landing page,” is like. Your Landing Page is where your guests first arrive when they enter your site. This is your all critical “first impression” and can make the difference between a sale and a lost customer. People will hit your site and make a first impression of both your site and your company very quickly. You don’t want to lose customers because your homepage wasn’t user friendly or otherwise unappealing.
Only 20 Seconds
Statics say most websites only get hit on their landing page for 10-20 seconds and then the visitor leaves. Just like when you first meet a person in passing, we only have a brief exposure to show how we can be a great friend or contact. It is in those all critical first 10 seconds that we want to show your potential customers that you are the company that they are looking for. They can trust you and you are an expert in your field (without being unapproachable).
Your landing page for most purposes will be your site’s Home page. On occasion you may make a special offer, perhaps via email or an ad, to attract business and we’ll want to design a customized landing page for visitors responding to that offer. This will help you convert customers based on that offer alone. In any case it will be a key place to quickly begin building trust and credibility and to make a contact.
